Welcome to FoxRaven Designs. This website reflects the broad scope of my creative urges. I’m a painter, a jewelry and craft maker, a healer, a writer and a graphic designer. You can see my full, varied resume at mayacointreau.com. I make things for the sheer joy and release of it. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have a boundless drive to create, whether it’s cooking, art, sewing, gardening… I’m always finding something to do!

I went to Colorado College and Smith College and studied art in both places. I have owned a holistic healing center for over seven years now, and been an herbalist for over 15. I have traveled extensively and grew up in a home with spiritual artwork acquired from around the globe by my mother (who also paints) on her work travels, so was influenced by just about every kind of art you can imagine. I began working with watercolors when I was 6, and have been painting ever since, transitioning to oils in highschool and then acrylics in my thirties as small children underfoot demanded. I was raised in a Roman Catholic/Buddhist environment, and am a Reiki Master and Shamanic Practitioner. I believe there is life and spirit in everything, the rocks, the trees, the air, the water — everywhere.
